Tata AIA Design System is a single source of truth for UX guidelines, design assets & Front-end code to help Tata AIA’s teams rapidly create a world class experience.

Problem Statement

With more than 145 applications (internals & externals), it was becoming difficult for managing the shared Visual Language. This lead to increase in Design debt. Tata AIA Design System was created to reduce the Design Debt, accelerate the Design process, build bridges between teams working together.

Users & Audience

Product teams, Engineering teams, Digital Experience team & External partners/Vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Research, benchmarking of best practices for creating, maintaining & updating Design System for the organisation
• Creating, Maintaining & Updating documentation of the Design system
• Creating the Web, Mobile components of Tata AIA design System
• Working as administrator for Figma to manage the users, settings, licenses etc.

Scope & Constraints

There were multiple versions of styles, components which were used in the legacy systems of Tata AIA Life Insurance.
